XCF
XCF is the native file format of the GIMP image editor. It stores layers, channels, paths, and other editing data together with the image. Most viewers cannot open XCF, so it is often converted to a flattened PNG or JPG for sharing.

TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) is a flexible raster image format for high-quality images. It supports lossless compression, high bit depth, layers, and multiple pages, which makes it a standard for printing, scanning, and archiving. TIFF files are large, so they are often converted to JPG or PNG for sharing.
XCF is the image source or target format for this conversion path.
TIFF can store high-bit-depth, multi-page, lossless, or uncompressed raster data.
The XCF pixels are decoded and written using TIFF compression and color capabilities.
Uploads and converted files are processed automatically and irreversibly deleted within 24 hours. You can delete them sooner with the delete control. Convertr does not read, mine, sell, or manually review file contents.
